Devizes Town caretaker boss Steve Hale will quit the club at the end of the season and join Thatcham Town.
The 35-year-old has accepted the assistant manger's role at the Southern League Division One South and West outfit after friend Gary Ackling was appointed manager.
Hale said: "I am ambitious and I want to progress and Southern League jobs do not come up every day.
"It is a fantastic set up and it is Southern League football, which is what I am aiming for.
"I want to keep progressing in the game."
Hale, who took over after Paul Thompson's departure three weeks ago, takes his side to Odd Down tomorrow before hosting Barnstaple on Saturday.

He lost his unbeaten record as manager in a 4-2 defeat at Willand Rovers on Saturday but will continue to manage the side until the end of the season.
"I could have gone to Thatcham straight away but I have got too much respect for the club and the players," he said.
"I want to see the season out and I am still aiming to finish higher than the club have done in the last four or five years."
