Gingell: 'League could be beyond us'

Corsham Town manager Mel Gingell realises the title may be slipping away from them.

The reigning Toolstation League Premier Division champions, who sit second, lost 5-1 at home to third placed Dawlish on Saturday, leaving them ten points adrift of leaders Truro, who have played two less games.

Dawlish are a point behind them with two games in hand and Gingell has conceded it will take an almighty effort from his side to clinch the title.

"Maybe we are not quite good enough," he said. "We have to win every game now, that is the only way back."

But, the former Wiltshire U18 boss, has already started preparing for next season as he draws up his pre-season shopping list.

He said: "I know the players I want, some of them play in the Western League for other clubs.

"Because of the season we have had it might be a bit easier getting them."
