CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Ashton look to avenge Corsham loss
2:00pm Friday 12th October 2012 in News
CORSHAM United and Steeple Ashton Rangers meet for a second time this season and the encounter at Leafy Lane comes just two weeks after United beat Rangers 3-0 at St Mary’s.
Should United take maximum points for a second time they will take over at the top of Division One from Bradford Renegades, who are in WG Parr Trophy action.
With that as extra incentive, United will want to seize their opportunity but at the same time Ashton can’t afford to fall further behind the top sides will seek revenge for their earlier loss and may just get it with a narrow win.
The only other game in the division sees a Prestige Bodyworks side, who are currently in freefall, host Bromham (Sunday) who, after a poor start look, as if they have turned the corner.
Three points from four see them out of the bottom two for the first time since the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
Prestige won both meetings last term but if they are to get a hat-trick of wins over their guests they will need to pull something special out of the hat.
