DIVISION THREE PREVIEW: Buscots favourites to remain top

HAVING taken over at the top of Division Three last weekend, Devizes-based FC Buscots should remain firmly fixed in the number one spot come Sunday afternoon.

Buscots visit a North Star B side who have shipped 27 goals in their last two games and it will take an amazing turnaround in form for the hosts to avoid a fifth straight defeat of the season.

After avoiding relegation at the end of the last season due to reorganisation of the league, Pig & Whistle United A have made a great start to this season.

Richard Allen’s side have two wins to their name and a trip to Bremhill View Boys, who they beat twice last term, should provide them with another win as they bid to keep up their challenge at the top of the table.

One of the matches of the day could be the one at Kington Langley where hosts Christian Malford entertain second-placed Corsham Park Rangers, who on current form should take the spoils.

Rangers have won their opening three games while Malford have lost all three they have played.

However Malford beat their guests twice last season and will hope to maintain their hoodoo over Tim Spear’s side, but it will be a big ask as Rangers with the in-form Owen Bryan will prove hard to beat for a third successive time.

Talbot FC, fresh from their impressive draw with PSC Galaxy last weekend will have the welcome mat out for Pack Horse Rangers and the league positions would suggest a win for the hosts, especially as they have strengthened their line-up with the recent signing of Dean Fry and hope to bring in a couple more players before the weekend.
