DIVISION THREE PREVIEW: Malford up next for the impressive Fortune Inn
2:00pm Friday 7th September 2012 in News
THE biggest winners on the opening day were Fortune Inn who thumped Bremhill View Boys 18-4.
Budge Hylands side will expect to be in the goals against this Sunday when they visit a Christian Malford side who suffered a defeat on day one.
Fortune should take maximum points again, but their winning margin is likely to be a lot closer than a week ago and if Malford are on form they could get a draw from a game they are tipped to lose.
Both Corsham Park Rangers and Talbot FC opened with victories so something is likely to give when the sides lock horns at Leafy Lane on Sunday morning.
Corsham Park took three of the four points on offer last season and Tim Spear’s side will be expected to maintain their unbeaten record against their Calne-based guests with what should be another comfortable win.
Pack Horse Rangers missed out on a game last weekend so the visit of FC Buscots to Stanley Park will present them with their first outing of the season.
Buscots started with a win and they will be hoping to continue their good work that saw them beat Cavalier 5-1.
However they will be wary of their hosts who, as Rose & Crown last term, beat them 5-3 after drawing 1-1.
Revenge will be on Buscots mind and they should get it.
North Star B will be looking for a victory after their defeat at the hands of Corsham Park Rangers a week ago. Star visit Pig & Whistle United A who had a free week last Sunday and hold the upper hand on their guests from last term's meetings.
Lee Lovelock’s visitors to Melksham have a very good chance of getting a first win of the campaign under their belts.
Having lost one derby day battle last weekend when they were beaten by FC Buscots, it’s a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire for Cavalier FC who face PSC Galaxy in another derby day showdown this week.
Galaxy who won all their 20 league matches last term should maintain their winning sequence with what should be another convincing win over their guests at Sandfield, West Lavington.
