DIVISION ONE: Davis returns to lead Renegades

CHIPPENHAM Sunday League Division One outfit Bradford Renegades have again turned to the club's founder Lance Davis to lead them next season.

Davis, who was the league's player of the season in 2010, was contemplating a flattering offer from AFC Melksham's Mike Rogers as the Premier Division outfit looked to bolster their attacking options for next season.

Davis was also contemplating taking a season out, but his love for the game and the club he formed swung his decision.

He will retain the services of Lee Ridout and Matt Ferris, who both stepped in when Davis stepped aside earlier this year.

His first job as player-manager is to set the club up with some friendlies as they prepare for the 2012-13 campaign.

Renegades are prepared to travel to play a match, any clubs wanting a friendly should contact Davis on 07722 722230.
