CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION FOUR PREVIEW: Oakhill out to stop Dragonz' push for the summit

AFTER moving into second place in Division Four last weekend, Sportzcoach Dragonz United confirmed their position as serious title contenders along with both Old Road and current leaders FC North Wiltshire who are both without a game this Sunday.

Sportzcoach should use one of their games in hand to close the gap at the top to just three points, as next up for Joe Hargreaves' side are bottom side Oakhill, who they have already beaten 7-2 this term.

Iit would be a massive surprise if they didn’t pick up another victory.

Crossblades will be looking to for a third straight win when they visit FC United of Chippenham.

Tim Chilton takes his side to Stanley Park in the knowledge that they have already taken two points of Dudley Philpott’s side and it would take another upset for them not to complete a double over their hosts who will be bidding for a fifth win of the season.

Just a fortnight after they were beaten 2-0 at Trowbridge Rangers (Sunday) Matthew Bowden will be hoping that his Melksham Cosmos side can turn things around when the teams lock horns in the reverse fixture this weekend.

A rejuvenated Rangers go into the game bidding for a third successive two pointer while Cosmos are out to arrest a run of three defeats.

The result should be close but for a second time victory should go the way of Rangers.

Trowbridge Town Supporters Club and Worton & Cheverell (Sunday) are set to meet for a first time.

Chris Cole’s Worton side who are newcomers to the league this season have had a mixed campaign, winning when they should lose and losing when they are expected to win.

The villagers visit a supporters’ club who have lost two on the bounce and will be desperate to get back to winning ways as they look to get what is now an outside chance from promotion back on track.

The result should be a close one with the hosts tipped for victory.
