CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Star seek back-to-back wins

CONSECUTIVE defeats for Malmesbury-based FC Boroughs have hit their hopes of snatching one of the two automatic promotion spots from Division One.

Boroughs will hope that they can put things right when they visit basement side North Star A who will still be celebrating their first win of the season that came against Biddestone White Horse.

Back-to-back wins are top of the menu for a Star side who have five games left to secure their first division status, but having already lost 6-1 Boroughs it is hard to see anything other than a win for the visitors to Calne.

Tom Perkins' in-form Castle FC play hosts to Biddestone White Horse who no doubt will have one eye on their pending Knockout Cup semi-final with Biddestone Social.

Scott Fleming’s side have lost three on the spin and they will hope that they can claim a morale-boosting win in the next fortnight.

But with their hosts who won the reverse clash 5-3 looking for a fifth straight victory they are unlikely to get it at Sands Lane.
