CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION FOUR PREVIEW: Dragonz look to close gap on top clubs

BOTH Trowbridge Town Supporters Club and Sportzcoach Dragonz United are having a relatively good seasons and remain very much in the battle to finish in the top two places in Division Four.

Dragonz, who are in third spot, will move into second should they beat hosts Town.

Kevin Williams' side lost for the first time in six outing last weekend and they are tipped to lose back-to-back games for the first time this term as Dragonz look on course to beat their hosts for the first ever time.

FC United of Chippenham are due to welcome Pig & Whistle United B to Stanley Park.

Pig & Whistle, who ended a seven-match winless run last time out, will be looking for a repeat of their earlier meeting with Dudley Philpott’s side which they won 5-3.

However the Pig’s win came back in January and the will find their hosts a much tougher nut to crack second time around and honours may end up being shared.

Two defeats on the bounce against the bottom two clubs have come as somewhat as a shock to Melksham Cosmos, but Joe Hargreaves' side will look to end their recent dip in form with a victory over Worton & Cheverell (Sunday), who they defeated 3-2 way back in September.

Cosmos will have to work hard for any points they may pick up from the game as Chris Cole’s visitors to Goatacre have had some good results in recent times and have a good chance to avenge their earlier defeat.

The bottom two sides go head-to-head at Whaddon Lane, Hilperton as Trowbridge Rangers host Oakhill.

Rangers, who have won two of their last three games and who beat their guests 3-1 in the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season, will see this as a fixture as another they can win especially as Oakhill have won just once in their last seven games.
