CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Bromham look to finish with a win

DESPITE all the bad weather over the past few months, Bromham (Sunday) will complete their Division One programme this weekend.

The New Road club are due to host near neighbours Castle FC.

Tom Perkins' visitors have already taken maximum points from Bromham and the in-form Castle side, who have won four on the spin and have lost just once in seven games, should be confident of following up their 5-3 win from the middle of November to claim a fourth straight win over the villagers.

A week on from their meeting at Yatton Road which was abandoned after 57 minutes, bottom-of-the-table North Star A are due to host Biddestone White Horse for a second time in as many weeks.

Liam Westland’s North Star side were beating Biddestone 5-3 before a broken jaw for Biddestone's Tom Lye led to the match being halted.

Up to that moment, a brilliant game played a sporting manner ebbed and flowed as Star looked set for their first win of the season.

This game is likely to played in the same spirit, but whether Westland’s side can pick up that illusive victory waits to be seen.
