CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: David versus Goliath at New Road

DIVISION One leaders Bradford Renegades will only have themselves to blame should they fail in their bid to finish as champions.

Lance Davis' side have won all 10 games to date and they should extend that sequence evn further when they visit relegation-threatened Bromham (Sunday).

Renegades opened their campaign with a 12-0 victory over the villagers and, although they are unlikely to bag double figures again, both Sam Jordan and Davis, who scored five each in the previous game, should be in the goals again.

Biddestone White Horse, who suffered WG Parr Trophy semi-final heartache last weekend, host basement side North Star A, who are still looking for their first win in the league.

Biddestone will start as favourites, but if the Star can reproduce the form that saw them narrowly lose out to Bradford Renegades a fortnight ago, an upset could be on the cards.

With five wins from their last six games Tom Perkins' Castle FC side are on something of a roll a roll and after last week's 5-1 success at Corsham United will fancy their chances of beating FC Boroughs.

Boroughs may have won the previous league meeting of the sides 5-3, but were them hammered 11-3 by Perkins' menin the Knockout Cup.

With honours shared so far this term and another victory up for grabs the result should be close but who takes the points waits to be seen.
