DIVISION THREE: Buscots claim share of top spot
11:32am Monday 11th February 2013 in News
THE ONLY fixture in Division Three saw promotion chasing FC Buscots claim a 12th straight win that moved them level at the top of the table with Tim Spear’s inactive Corsham Park Rangers side.
Buscots may have maintained their 100 per cent record but their 3-1 win over Talbot FC was far from easy as they had to battle against both a determined Talbot side as well as the mud at Nurstead Road as the pitch deteriorated - as the game and came the final whistle it resembled a cabbage patch rather than a football pitch.
Adam Bewley put Buscots in front and they saw their lead doubled when the unfortunate Simon Vowden put through his own net to give the home team a half-time lead they deserved after bossing the first 45 minutes.
The second half was a different affair as Talbot came more into the game and reduced the arrears through Aaron Clegg but they spurned numerous chances to get back on level terms and they paid the price for their wastefulness as a last minute goals from Luke Enderby, his 15th of the season, sealed a hard fought win for the Buscots.
MATCHES OFF: Bremhill View Boys v North Star B; Fortune Inn v Pack Horse Rangers; PSC Galaxy v Pig & Whistle United A.
