CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION THREE PREVIEW: Bremhill look to end derby day jinx

AFTER losing out in their three previous derby-day duels, Bremhill View Boys will be hoping it will be fourth time lucky when they host North Star B in their latest Division Three outing.

The match at Beversbrook is certain to get the pulses racing as Bremhill, who are currently in the bottom two, look to avenge their 7-0 defeat from November against a team with a 100 per cent success record from their derby battles to date.

Lee Lovelock’s North Star have not won in four but will fancy their chances on ending that run as they look to edge a step closer to safety.

With leaders Corsham Park Rangers without a game, their closest challengers FC Buscots will move level on points with Tim Spear’s side if they can beat Talbot FC for a second time this term.

Buscots, who are one of two sides in the league left with a 100 per cent record beat Vic Long’s side 2-1 earlier in the season and they will face another tough test as they look to claim a 12th straight win.

With PSC Galaxy next up they will be trying even harder to keep their winning run intact, but Talbot may just take a point from them in what should be another close game.

With just one win in six outing for Paul Kidley’s Pack Horse Rangers side they will have it all to do if they are to get anything from local rivals Fortune Inn when they meet at Stanley Park this term.

Fortune put 15 goals on their guests in their two meetings last term and although Budge Hylands side are predicted to completed a hat-trick of wins over Kidley’s men the result should be a lot closer that the previous game which Fortune won 10-5.

PSC Galaxy, who are chasing back-to-back titles should pick up another two points when they host Pig & Whistle United A at their Northbrook ground this Sunday.

Richard Allen’s Pig & Whistle side have not won in eight, while Pete Huntley’s Galaxy side have dropped just three points from a possible 22.

Another win looks certain as they look to stay in touch with fierce rivals FC Buscots who they play next week.
