CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION THREE PREVIEW: Buscots eyeing up top spot
3:00pm Friday 25th January 2013 in News
WITH Division Three leaders Corsham Park Rangers unable to use their Leafy Lane pitch their scheduled game with North Star B has been put off until later in the season.
Rangers inactivity will give FC Buscots the chance to move level on points with their promotion rivals at the summit, which they will do it they can beat Fortune Inn.
Buscots have won all 10 of their games to date, but this will be a tough test for the hosts who lost the corresponding fixture last term 2-0.
Bottom-of-the-table Cavalier gave leaders Corsham Park Rangers a decent game last time out before losing 4-1 - and although Andy Holman’s side will go into their game home with Talbot as the underdogs they will be hoping that they can improve on their showing when the sides last met.
Talbot won 5-1 in October and should win again, but with Cavalier getting closer to a first point of the season they may nick something from the game at Rowde should it go ahead.
PSC Galaxy who are bidding for back-to-back promotions are currently in third spot, three games and five points adrift of leaders Corsham Park.
Galaxy host Christian Malford and having snatched a nervy 5-4 win when the teams last met Galaxy know that the visitors to Northbrook if on form could inflict more damage to their promotion aspirations.
What promises to be another close game ought to be won by Galaxy but Malford may just get a draw for their efforts.
