CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION PREVIEW: Revenge on Rangers mind

AFTER what has been an unwanted three week break for many teams from the S.K. Fruits Limited, Chippenham Sunday League, the majority of sides should make a welcome return to action this Sunday.

With three sides from the Premier Division still flying the flag for the league in the Wiltshire Sunday Cup it means that there are just two fixtures in the top flight.

Westbury Rangers are set to meet Bug & Spider for the second time this term and with home advantage, Shaun Gardiner’s side will hope for a much better result as they bid to avenge their 8-0 loss from December.

Westbury face an uphill task as their Calne visitors are in a rich vein of form and unbeaten in six league and cup matches and it would be a surprise if Marcus Lovesey didn’t pick up a fourth straight win over their hosts.

FC Colerne kick off 2013 at Semington Rovers.

Colerne, who have played just four league games, are having to play catch up.

But with just seven sides making up the division that should be easy and they should start the New Year with a win as they beat their hosts 3-1 when the sides clashed back in early December.

It would be a surprise if they didn’t manage a double over Allan Clarke’s strugglers.
