WILTSHIRE SUNDAY CUP: West End bid for upset

WITH three sides from the Chippenham Sunday League already through to the third round of the Wiltshire Sunday Cup, four more will bid to join holders FC Jager, AFC Melksham and FC Brunel in the final 16.

Penhill United, who are mid-table in the Swindon League first division play hosts to Chippenham West End and although the visitors to Swindon are unbeaten all competitions this term they will be underdogs for the game.

Premier Division leaders Biddestone Social are due to welcome Frome & District Sunday league outfit Dilton Rovers to their Yatton Road base.

With Dan Lardner’s side looking for a good cup run they will be red-hot favourites to maintain their cup challenge with what should be a convincing win over a side, who currently lie second in Division One of their respective league.

The all-Chippenham League pairing of the round pits third division Fortune Inn at home to league newcomers Trowbridge Rangers (Sunday).

Fortune beat Frome League side FC St George in the last round and should ease into the final 16.
