DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: North Star seek season’s first win

NORTH Star A, currently bottom of the division one table, will host Biddestone White Horse this Sunday, hoping that they can at last register their first win of the season.

The hosts have picked up just one point from their four games and seeing as Biddestone won both meetings between the sides last term, they should have few problems in claiming a third straight win over their hosts - a fifth of the campaign which would move them into second place in the table.

With no win in three games, Bromham (Sunday) would have wished to be paired with someone other than leaders Corsham United but the fixtures haven’t fallen kindly for them in November as other games see them take on top flight FC Jager and near neighbours Castle.

Corsham should have few problems in maintaining their two point lead at the summit with what should be another straightforward victory.

Prestige Bodyworks will have been happy with their win over North Star A last weekend but they know that if they will have to take more of their chances when they visit FC Boroughs if they are to claim a third straight win.

Boroughs have yet to reach top gear this season but aren’t a long way from hitting top form.

What should be a close game could be settled by the odd goal in a low scoring contest in favour of Prestige.
