CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Corsham eying up pole position

WITH Bradford Renegades due to miss out on a game this weekend their could be a change of leaders at the top of Division One come Sunday afternoon with Corsham United in with a shout of taking over at the summit.

Corsham just need to avoid defeat at home to FC Boroughs and Kai Flack’s side will find themselves as leaders.

Corsham defeated their guests 3-1 on the opening day of the season and they will be favourites to claim a league double over their opponents who have not really got going this term.

Biddestone White Horse will be hunting a league double over Bromham (Sunday) when the teams go head-to-head at Yatton Road.

Biddestone, who beat Bromham 4-1 early in September, will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at the hands of Bradford Renegades last week and it will take something special from the Bromham to deny their hosts a second success over them and their fourth win of the season.

Neither, Prestige Bodyworks or North Star A were in action last weekend with Prestige having a free week and North Star being unable to raise a team to face FC Boroughs.

North Star could struggle again this week as they have three players suspended for what could be a high-scoring game if last term's meetings between the sides are anything to go by.

Prestige won 5-4 and 5-3 and will believe that they can complete a hat-trick over victories over Liam Westland’s side, who are currently bottom of the table with just one point from a possible six.

Steeple Ashton Rangers, who were unable to raise a team last weekend are scheduled to host a Castle FC side who have won just once in five games.

With no win on the road since last November, Tom Perkins' side will have to conjure up a special performance if they are to claim a fifth straight win over their hosts and deny Ashton their third win of the season.
