First points for new boys

PREMIER newboys Blueprint Chiseldon picked up their first points at their third attempt when they defeated visitors Shrewton United 5-0.

After a goalless first half, striker Dave Griffin grabbed a hat-trick, with Simon Offley and Denilson completed the scoring.

Westside and visitors Pewsey Vale shared the points in a 2-2 draw, with the home side missing a penalty through Ricky Hewittson.

Dave Rendell forced an equaliser in the 89th minute.

New College boss Mark Teasdale was unhappy with his side's 3-0 home defeat by Devizes Town and said: "We didn't turn up and compete. It's the same old thing - one good result followed by a bad one."

Wroughton found themselves two goals down at the break at Bradford but Scott Ward pulled a goal back and Ryan Lovegrove equalised.

Purton Reserves lost by the only goal, scored by Jason Roberts soon after the start of the second half at Calne.

Marlborough Town, still looking for a manager, were beaten 3-0 at home by Malmesbury Vics thanks to goals from Daniel Done (2) and Clint Walker.

In Division One, AFC Castrol kept their unbeaten run going, coming out on top 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller with Westlecott. Dave Gee and Stuart Phillips scored a couple each with Ben Parsons completing the scoring.

Barron Heating scored seven without reply against a young Marlborough Town Reserve side.
