TOP stiker Craig Wall bagged two goals within 16 minutes to bring his season's total to 18 as Pewsey Vale ended their season with a 2-0 win over Hook Norton.
Pewsey gave their visitors no chance to settle down in this match and should have taken a one minute lead when Paul Fisher, with only the keeper Lee Farrow to beat, sent his shot over the bar.
Wall got the Vale of the mark in the second minute, ably assisted by Martyn Churchward who headed him through.
He picked up the ball and brushed past a defender to slip it past Farrow.
Then another great move from the Vale got their second goal on 16 minutes, a move that was to start with Chris Oram.
His pass to Tom Ritchie, who twisted his way through the defence ended with Wall netting his second.
Following the Vale's second goal Hook Norton seemed to settle down, and made several attacks into Pewsey's box, but the defence held firm to deny them.
Hook came out for the second half with more determination, and were unlucky not to get one back, but a great block by the Pewsey keeper Stuart Thompson was to deny them on the 51st minute.
A bad miss for the ball by the Hook keeper on the 52 minute saw both him and Field going for the ball outside the box, and resulted in both players going down when their heads clashed togeather.
Both players were able to continue after treatment.
Pewsey manager Dave Turner then introduced James Hambridge to the game, replacing Cary Smart on the 53rd minute and on the 72nd minute, Field finaly had to leave the game with Mark Bennett being his replacement.
Then the visitors keeper Farrow denied the Vale when he bravely went down at the feet of Alan Blake following great play when both Hambridge and Bennett combined together to set Blake up with his chance.
Hook Norton continued to look for a goal, but Pewsey's defence were able to contain the pressure on their goal, and to end their season with a tenth place in the Hellenic League Division One West table.
