Jovial Monk blow away Windmill to widen gap

DIVISION Three leaders Jovial Monk opened up a six-point gap with a 2-1 success at second placed Windmill on a weather-affected day, Steve Shaw bagging the Windmill goal.

In Division Four, the only fixture to take place was a top-versus-bottom clash and it was leaders KMLC who came out on top 5-2 against Southbrook to go 13 points clear of Intel, who have six games in hand.

Adam Tape hit a double for KMLC and there was one each for Ian McCarthy, Daryl Boulter and Matt Coles. Colin Yates netted a couple for Southbrook.

Matt Tyler netted for Moredon Cheney in their excellent 1-1 Division Six draw at Dennis Removals. Mark Huxtable scored a penalty for Dennis.

White Hart beat Pertemps 3-1 with Tony Brown scoring a couple and Neil Payne also on target, Alan Hawthorne the Pertemps marksman.

Ady Roper and John Freeth helped Green Baize United to a 2-1 success at Swindon City, while AFC Classic won 5-3 at Smart Movers thanks to a Ben Carter double, Paul Hancock, Rob Walker and Matt Hollingshead. John Whittaker (2) replied.

Cats Solutions closed in on Division Eight leaders Pinehurst Community after their 5-3 home win over Thamesdown AFC.

Mark Cowan, Matt Bowen, Nathan Shepherd and a couple of own goals saw Cats home with Joe Fox, Martin Thompson and Dave Cheater replying for Thamedown.

Andy Simmonds, Tom Heinz and Warren Anger helped Stratton Utd edge out Curriers Arms 3-2.

One game played in the Knockout cup saw Juventus progress with a 2-1 win after extra time against AFC Kemdent from Division Three. Darren Parsons and an own goal were the contributors for Juventus.
