Toolstation Premier:
DEVIZES Town escaped the team of the month award curse as they secured their fourth successive win.
Nathan Sheridan's side dominated the game with Ashton Turner, Steve Campbell and Jamie Mullings guilty of missing a series of guilt-edged chances during their 1-0 victory over Backwell United last Wednesday night.
However, two minutes from time, Mullings popped up in the box and toe poked home from six yards after a goalmouth scramble from a corner.
Manager Sheridan said the win was thoroughly deserved.
He said: "It was a massive game a six pointer. We did not want to lose ground on the teams around us.
"By beating Backwell we have cut the difference in points between us but kept the same amount of games left to catch up and overtake.
"If they had won then the difference would have been quite considerable again.
"Even though we missed some chances I would be more worried if we were not getting in those positions."
