SWINDON SUNDAY LEAGUE: THE wet weather took its toll on the Swindon Sunday League fixture programme with approximately half of the games being postponed.
The match of the day came in Division Seven, where APS Mortgages went top after their 3-2 home win against Coleview.
But they left it late, Dave Rendell netting his second effort of the match with virtually the last kick of the game. Karl Spencer also netted.
Eldene Social Club trounced Sandgate 8-2 thanks to a four-timer from Craig Hogg, Marc Connolly with a hat-trick and Pedro Porte. The Sandgate consolations both came from Aiden Doyle.
Ben Carter scored four for AFC Classic in their 6-1 victory over Swindon City. Rob Walker and Martin Swadden also scored and the City reply came from Robbie Cantillon with an own goal.
Division Two
GOALS from Martin Johnson, Marlon Reid and two from George Greene gave Swindon West Indians a superb 4-3 win at joint leaders Haydon Wick WMC.
Ryan Hillier scored for Pewsey Saints in their 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Coleshill United.
Division Four
LEADERS KMLC won 1-0 at Mallard thanks to an Ash Piotrowski goal.
Intel were held to a 3-3 home draw against Dynamo Ashton with Ady Male and Phil Van De Mortel (2) on target and a James Bradfield double and Nick Adams helped Duckhams to a 3-2 win at Southbrook Inn, Ash Channing and Andy Bell replied.
Division Six
PAUL Farrell (2), Martyn White, Andrew Forbes and Dan Wright were among the scorers for Dennis Removals in their 6-3 win at White Hart Stratton, whose net men were John McDonough with a couple and Gary Read.
GTS won 4-1 at Moredon Cheney which came from a double for Adam Cinquegrani, Jon Lampard and Chris Skillern. Matt Tyler replied for Moredon.
Westlink won 4-2 at Blueprint with Matt and Paul Bissett on the scoresheet as was Neil Strange with a couple. Declan Taylor replied for the losers with a brace.
Division Eight
LEADERS Pinehurst Community were held at Curriers Arms 2-2 with Tom Daniell and Jamie Gray netting for Curriers.
Graeme Little, Dave Devine and Ian Wilmer all bagged one each for Dorcan Old Boys in their 3-2 win at Home Zone whose goals came from Kelvin Spencer and Adam Storer.
Red Lion Wootton Bassett claimed their first win of the season 2-1 at Thamesdown AFC. Joe Fox scored the Thamesdown goal.
