A familiar face could return to the Corsham dugout this weekend if manager Mel Gingell returns to his rightful place on the sidelines.
The 62-year-old was issued with a 22 game bad at the beginning of the season but fell foul on the Wiltshire FA in the 18th match when he came on to the pitch to aggressively argue his point with the match official.
The Somerset FA, who oversaw the case to remove accusations of bias, then issued a further ban until the end of 2008. However an intermittent period of good behaviour should see the ruling overturned in time for him to be pitch side once again at Willand Rovers on Saturday.
“It will make life a lot easier if he’s back,” said caretaker boss Graham Learmonth.
“We’ve got by in his absence but have really missed his presence in the dressing room.”
“I feel like I’ve been looking over my shoulder all the time he hasn’t been here,”
