Pewsey Vale joint boss Steve Wootton said he expects a tough game at Cheltenham Saracens tomorrow but hopes the return of some key players will drive the side on.
Vale suffered an injury crisis last weekend for their match against Clanfield and were forced to field a number of reserves without the experience of Hellenic League football.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise with many exceeding all expectations and have since put down a marker for a regular spot in the side, including young right back Ashley Amor.
“We battled well last week and have been playing well as a side since the cup tie against Hungerford,” said Wootton.
“Phil Penning and Michael Mason will be back for us tomorrow although Vinny Elliot and club captain Chris Allen are still missing.
“Matty Messenger came off injured early on against Clanfield and we’re not sure if he’ll make it in time either.”
“Cheltenham are doing well in the league and we know we have a difficult game on our hands.”
