Football: Corsham Town put a poor start to the season, and a rough week's training, behind them with a shock victory over table-toppers Dawlish Town on Saturday.
The Lacock Road outfit were up against a side with a perfect record so far this season having won five out of five.
By contrast Corsham only had one win this season and were struggling at the wrong end of the table.
Compounding problems for stand-in manager Graham Learmonth was the fact the players were not able to train on the pitch last week.
He said: "We've been reseeding the pitch so we could't use it this week.
"We've not had the best week of training actually, but the hard work has paid off.
"The players got their reward on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
Learmonth, who is standing in for banned boss Mel Gingell, was pleased with his side's impressive display.
He said: "We deserved the win.
"It was good to put in a performance like we know we can.
"Dawlish are a good team so the win is even more impressive, hopefully that will now give us a real confident boost."
The only goal of the game was scored by Aaron Billett after some nice link up play with Adam Taylor, although the finish was a little fortunate.
Learmonth said: "The goal looked like a bit of a mis-hit cross that went in.
"Sometimes you need a bit of luck.
"He still put the ball in a dangerous area and it was set up well after a nice one-two with Adam Taylor."
Looking ahead, Learmonth hopes the win will raise morale and help the team kick on for the rest of the season. He said: "We knew there wasn't much wrong and hopefully now we can start to put in some more consistent performances.
"Dawlish were one of the favourites for the league so hopefully we can use this to get some confidence."
