Pewsey Vale Football Club have announced Mark Love as their new manager following the resignation of Dave Turner.

Love joins the Sport Italia Hellenic Division One West outfit from Wroughton Town, whom he steered to the Wiltshire Premier League title last season.

Martin Green will take over as Pewsey's reserve team manager after ex-boss Alan Blake followed Turner to Wootton Bassett Town.

A spokesman for the club said: "With the departures of both first team manager Dave Turner and reserves team manager Alan Blake to Wootton Bassett Town, a special committee meeting was held at the club house on Monday May 19 to interview applications for the first and second team managers' positions for the forthcoming season.

"The members after a long talk with all applicants, decided on giving the first team manager position to Mark Love.

"Mark had a very successful season at the helm of Wroughton Town, winning the Wiltshire Premier league title.

"And the reserves will be managed by Martin Green."

Pewsey's under 18s will continue to be managed by Ken Turner.

Meanwhile, Pewsey's Wiltshire Premier Division and Wiltshire under 18s Floodlit League teams held their annual end of season presentation night at the club house on Friday May 16, where a large gathering of players and supporters saw the following presentations made.

First was the under 18s,with manager Ken Turner and club chairman presented the supporters player award going to Jack Barrow, the players' player to Jack Skinner, the manager's award to Liam Edmonson and the golden boot to Jamie Sheppard, who scored 15 goals.

The Reserve team awards, presented by Alan Blake, saw the manager's player of the year awarded to David Cope.

The players' player went to Russell Fishlock and the most improved player went to Liam Edmonson.

The first team awards went Richie Carter (manager's player), Stewart Thompson (player's player) and Chris Oram (supporters' player).
