Malmesbury Victoria manager Tommy Dryden today parted company with the side he has managed for the past two years.
Dryden was furious on Saturday when his team was trounced five nil by neighbours Purton in the Hellenic League Divison One West fixture.
The defeat meant his side was left languishing third from bottom in the table.
Today he was asked to stand down by the club's committee. His assistant Paul Goulding has also left.
The team does not have a match tomorrow but it is understood a deal is being done with another Wiltshire manager to take over in time for next week's game.
After Saturday's terrible defeat he said: "It was not acceptable. You need passion to win games like this. It was a total waste of a Saturday."
