PREMIER Division leaders Melksham Town Reserves are into to the semi-finals of the Fountain Trophies Cup after a 5-0 Tuesday night win over Bremhill.

Two goals in the first 15 minutes from Seth Wain sent Town towards a showdown with either Wroughton or Cricklade Town, who meet on Thursday.

Callum Demkiv scored his 31st and 32nd goals of the season to stretch the advantage and Rhys Talmarsh wrapped up the result.

Town’s nearest challengers for league honours, Kintbury Rangers, moved to within nine points with three games still in hand as they were held to a goalless midweek draw by Cricklade.

Third-placed Shrewton United made it three wins in a row with a narrow 2-1 win at Trowbridge Town.

Wroughton clinched a 3-1 win over Devizes Town Reserves to go fourth, Shane Hibbert’s brace taking him on to 34 for the season and Jordan Lea also netting, Alex Surman replying.

Purton’s 3-1 triumph over Marlborough Town saw Gianluca Costabile fire a hat-trick, including two from the penalty spot, Christopher Deane replying.

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development completed their fixtures with a 5-1 home win over Pewsey Vale Development, Josh Bolton and Ben Gerrish scoring two apiece and Logan Cassidy the other.

A last-minute winner from Robin Collier gave Malmesbury Victoria Development a 3-2 victory against Bassett Bulldogs, Sam Brown and Sam Jenner also on target. Craig Hunt and Colin Cochrane scored for the Bulldogs.
