MELKSHAM Town moved back up to second in the Toolsttaion League Premier Division with a narrow 1-0 win over Bridgwater Town tonight.
Kieran Baggs' side, who had beaten their rivals 3-0 in Somerset last Saturday, leapfrogged county rivals Bradford Town into position behind champions Street as Mike Perrott's late goal downed their visitors, who had two men sent off.
Bradford can reclain second position if they beat Buckland Athletic at Trowbridge Road on Saturday afternoon, before they travel to Melksham for the west Wiltshire derby - which was abandoned on Easter Monday with Bradford leading 2-0 - for a crunch showdown on Monday evening.
Elsewhere in the Toolstation League tonight, Corsham Town had goalkeeper Joe King to thanks for two penalty saves as they played out a goalless draw at Bristol Telephones.
Devizes Town were in rampant form in Somerset as they thrashed hosts Wincanton Town 4-0 this evening.
