NEEDING just a point from their final Gooding Accounts-sponsored Division Two Cup Group One fixture to guarantee themselves a semi-final showdown with Holt at the weekend, Zeals came up trumps courtesy of a 1-1 draw at Trowbridge Wanderers Development.
Leading 1-0 at the break through an Oliver Cole goal, Zeals who suffered a 3-2 loss to Heytesbury on Tuesday evening were safe in the knowledge, that for Wanderers to deny they a spot in the final four, their hosts would have to score at least nine second-half goals.
Although Radoslav Jakiel pulled a goal back for Wanderers it was just a consolation for Ross Pugh’s side who were unable to following up their Tuesday night success over Greyhound.
