TROWBRIDGE Town Reserves picked up a huge three points in their battle to stave off relegation, courtesy of a 2-1 win at Semington Magpies.

First-half goals from Dexter Chipeni and Ashley Poms won it for Trowbridge, who had to withstand a late onslaught after Joe Hargreaves long throw was turned home by Ant Lamb.

Freshford United put themselves in a fine position to claim a third title in five years.

Chris Birleson’s side moved three points clear of their fellow title chasers after a 2-0 victory at Hilperton United.

After a goalless first half Dave Percival broke the deadlock after being set up by Nick Ross and a second from Percival, following an assist from Waleed Bakali, sealed win number 10 for the villagers.

Stockton & Codford started the day three points clear of opponents Luxol St Andrews, but after Luxol’s 3-1 success both teams along with Melksham Town A are locked together on 28 points.

Luxol saw Mark Reynolds' bizarre overhead effort open the scoring, his 50th goal for the club being cancelled out by Liam Gibbens' 43rd-minute effort.

After the break Luxol got their noses in front through Billal Karmouni and they wrapped up the points when Kieran Hard netted following a beautiful counter-attacking move.
