MELKSHAM Town have been handed a home tie in the quarter-finals of the FA Vase after this afternoon's draw.
Hellenic League Premier Division title challengers Thatcham Town will make the trip to Oakfields on Saturday, February 24, to take on Kieran Baggs' side, who booked their last-eight spot with a 2-1 win over Tring Atheltic in front of 1,236.
Both Baggs and chairman Darren Perrin made clear their desire for a home tie in the quarter-final, having seen one of the largest on-league attendances anywhere in the country turn out for Saturday's victory.
Thatcham are likely to pose a formidable test to Town's hopes of reaching the last four, the Berkshire side being in the middle of an unbeaten 20-match run in all competitions that has not only taken them forward in the Vase, but seen them challenge Highworth Town at the top of the Hellenic League Premier Division.
The tie will be played on Saturday, February 24
FA Vase quarter-final draw: Bracknell Town v Marske United, Melksham Town v Thatcham Town, Stockton Town v Windsor, Wolverhampton SC/Leighton Town v 1874 Northwich
