THREE sides boast 100 per cent records after the opening two rounds of matches in the Wiltshire League Premier Division this week.
Leading the way on goal difference are new boys Westbury United Reserves, who opened their campaign with a thumping 5-1 triumph at Malmesbury Victoria Development on Saturday.
The Meadow Lane men then returned home on Tuesday evening and claimed a second triumph, as last season’s runners up Shrewton United were dismissed 1-0.
Cricklade Town, now under the stewardship of former league and cup-winning Southbrook boss Albert Dearing, also opened their season with back-to-back triumphs.
The Leisure Centre side’s 3-1 success over Malmesbury in midweek followed an opening 5-3 win over Shrewton at the weekend.
Melksham Town Reserves, third last season, beat new boys Bremhill 2-1 on Tuesday, Callum Demkiv scoring twice, three days after putting new boys Purton to the sword 3-0 on the opening day.
Purton bounced back by defeating last season’s champions Wroughton 3-2 on Tuesday. Eden Bunce scored twice, with Taylor Edwards and Ben Holcombe also on target as Pewsey Vale Development were held 4-4 by Ludgershall Sports. Wesley Lima netted in Saturday’s 1-0 win over new boys Bassett Bulldogs.
Trowbridge Town have a point after two matches following a goalless draw with Devizes Town Reserves on Tuesday. The Bees lost 3-2 to Wroughton on Saturday.
