MELKSHAM Town put five past Corsham Town when the two teams met in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.

Luke Ballinger and Dan Demkiv both recorded braces, while their other goal came from Joe Stradling.

The win was the second in a row for Keiran Baggs, who also navigated his troops to a 3-0 win over Devizes Town on Saturday afternoon, with Ballinger and Ben Pring among the scorers.

While for Corsham, it was their second defeat on the bounce as they were defeated 2-0 by Welsh side Abergavenny Town at the Southbank over the weekend.

Westbury United played out an entertaining encounter with Shaftesbury on Tuesday night as Neil and Joe Kirkpatrick oversaw a 4-2 away win, Jamie Jordan and Martin Johnson among those on the scoresheet.

On Saturday, it was a similar story as goals from Dan Kovacs, Leon Greenland, Steve Hulbert and Dan Price saw them ease past Shrewton United 4-1.

Bradford Town have made two additions to their squad ahead of the start of the Toolstation League season next week.

The Trowbridge Road side, whose pre-season friendly at Hellenic League side Brimscombe & Thrupp was called off after heavy rain left the Gloucestershire side’s pitch waterlogged, have brought in defender Nathan Loader and midfielder Ashton Shanley.

Loader has joined from Paulton Rovers, having trained with Bradford this close season after previous spells with Bristol Manor Farm and Bishop Sutton, with whom he won the league in 2013, with central midfielder Shanley also impressing in pre-season.

On Saturday, Charlie Walton bagged a hat-trick in Warminster Town’s 5-2 win over Wiltshire League side Wroughton.

Malmesbury Victoria were 4-2 victors over Patchway Town.
