FORMER Swindon Town and Premier League striker Nile Ranger has been jailed for eight months after admitting online banking fraud.
Ranger, 26, of Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend, was jailed for conspiracy to defraud.
He conspired to defraud a woman by obtaining her personal online banking details and transferring by way of an online transaction £2,090.23 from an HSBC account to a Santander account, Wood Green Crown Court heard.
Aseany Duncan, 19, from Enfield, north London, was also jailed for eight months for the same offence.

Ranger signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Town's League One rivals Southend United at the start of December 2016.
He started his career at Newcastle United before moving to Swindon Town and then Blackpool.
