THE 2016/17 season is not one that will not be looked back on by Swindon Town fans with any fondness.

But before we cast it aside and never mention the past nine months again, here’s how I think the County Ground squad rated.

Player of the Season – Lawrence Vigouroux

AFTER an inconsistent first season, I was surprised to see him signed permanently, but Vigouroux has established himself as not only one of the best goalkeepers in League One but in the Football League.

Player Reviews

Lawrence Vigouroux: The club’s best player will likely be sold this summer. 8 (out of 10)

Nathan Thompson: Struggled at times but another good season, wish him all the best if/when he moves on. 7

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill: Too inconsistent, right decision to let him go. 5

Conor Thomas: The definition of average. 5

Anton Rodgers: Was the focus of fans frustration unfairly and fairly at times, he needs a fresh start. 5

Ben Gladwin: Couple of good performances but went missing far too often. 6

Yaser Kasim: Looked great during both transfer windows, absent otherwise. 5

Jonathan Obika: Never found his groove due to an injury-hit first half of the season. 6

John Goddard: One of the season’s bright points, will be a key player in League Two. 7

James Brophy: Disappointing season, but his pace will be important in League Two. 5

Will Henry: Town’s penalty hero, clubs No. 1 next season? Big future ahead. 6

Nicky Ajose: Didn’t look the same player Town sold last summer, popped up with some key goals. 5

Charlie Colkett: Went awol on the pitch far too often but when in-form he looked a proper talent. 6

Fankaty Dabo: A real footballing defender, would love to have him back next season. 7

Rohan Ince: Eight man of the match awards tells the story, a class above his collogues. 8

Dion Conroy: Fine signing, will be important next season. 7

Brad Barry: Due to a number of injuries he never looked the same player as last season. 5

Lloyd Jones: Started well but faded, a solid centre back. 6

Raphael Branco: One week Shaun Taylor, the next Craig Taylor. Time to move on. 6

Luke Norris: A nightmare start, but did improve. 5
