CHIPPENHAM Park came from behind to claim all three points as they beat Bishops Sutton 3-2 away from home.

Ben Pring, Lewis McCarron and Scott Fear were all on hand to turn things around as Park recovered from a 2-1 deficit at the interval.

Manager Brett Partner was delighted with the performance.

“It was a really good game and to be fair, Bishop Sutton were a hard team to break down but we upped our game,” said Partner “I was looking for a reaction from our previous games so I was really pleased. I would say it was one of our best performances of the season.

“Football-wise, it was a good game. We worked on some different things in training, more passing and more movement which showed.

“Usually people wind down and because it is the last few games they don’t really care but we are actually getting better which is looking good for next season.

“If we keep them together, they will be a force next year.”

The result leaves them ninth in the First Division with just four games left.

Elsewhere, Corsham Town fought back from 3-1 down to claim a point in a 3-3 draw with Bishops Lydeard. The goals for the hosts came from Marcus Brown, Robbie Trip and Aaron Masson.

Robbie Mitchell’s goal secured a point for Devizes in a 1-1 draw at Warminster Town.

Meanwhile, in the Hellenic Premier Division, Royal Wootton Bassett Town beat Oxford City 3-2 thanks to a brace from Steve Yeardley and a Dan Bailey strike.

In the Sydenhams League Division One, Danny Horwood’s goal was not enough to stop Pewsey Vale losing 2-1 to Christchurch.
