ACES are looking good for a top two finish in Group B of the Gooding Accounts sponsored Division Two Cup.

Trailing 4-2 at Trowbridge Wanderers Development, they fought back to defeat their hosts 7-5, a week after the sides had drawn 2-2.

Ben Reed put Aces ahead, but Radoslav Jakiel tied things at one apiece.

Matt Rusling regained the lead for Aces with his first goal for the club, however it was Wanderers who were to lead at the interval as two more goals for Jakiel and a Myles Woodward effort gave them a 4-2 advantage.

Aces were quickest out the blocks in the second period and they were back on level through two more goals from Ben Reed which saw him complete his hat trick.

Goals from Aziz Uddin, a second from Rusling and Nick Baldwin put Aces 7-4 up before Lyle Tredrea claimed a late fifth for Wanderers.

Three Daggers gave up home advantage for their game with Zeals who, despite being understrength, made Daggers work hard for their 3-1 success.

Scott Walford, who also missed a second-half sitter scored twice with Ryan Earny scoring the third to give Daggers a 3-0 half-time lead.

Jordan Lynk, with his first goals for Zeals, gave them their consolation.

Trowbridge Town A have boosted their chances of claiming one of the semi-final positions in Group B, after they defeated Melksham Town B 7-2.

Dean Gumm’s double and a Tyler Dagger effort put Trowbridge 3-2 up in a first half that saw Dan Walker and Tom Jones score for Melksham.

Mike Ritson, Simon Parfitt and a Alex Dobbins brace made up the winners' tally.

It was a case of deja-vu for The Stiffs who, having already suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Calne Eagles, were beaten by the same scoreline when the teams met at St Mary’s Steeple Ashton.

Mickey Taraskevics top scored with a hat-trick, Karl Sharratt, Adam Welch and Brett Cullen shared the others.
