TROWBRIDGE Town A and Melksham Town B got Group A of the Division Two Cup under way at Christie Miller and it was the former who got the first points on the board thanks to a 4-0 win.
Trowbridge made a blistering start and were 1-0 ahead inside the opening 30 seconds thanks to a first goal of the season from Tommy Moore.
Dan Filer doubled the lead and his second of the afternoon gave the hosts a 3-0 interval lead.
On as a second-half substitute, Wictor Wnuk marked his debut for Trowbridge with a goal as he headed home for 4-0.
Trowbridge Wanderers Development, currently bottom of the Division Two table, got their Group B campaign off to a winning start after they were awarded the points from their match with Bradford Town Youth, who were unable to raise a team.
