Bradford Town picked up a 3-1 away victory over Cribbs in the Toolstation League First Division on Saturday, moving Danny Greaves’ team into fifth place, two points behind league leaders Melksham Town.

Daniel Cottle netted twice and Jack Hopper also scored, with Greaves’ men back in action on Wednesday when they welcome Cadbury Heath to Trowbridge Road.

Melksham Town were 4-2 winners at Sherborne Town as they managed to hold on to the top spot. Luke Ballinger, David Thompson, Lee Davidson and Gary Higdon on target.

Their next opponents are Brislington, who currently sit in 11th place, when they hit the road next Saturday afternoon.

Corsham Town and Malmesbury Victoria were the only two Wiltshire sides able to win three points this weekend as they defeated Welton Rovers and Bishop Sutton respectively.

Nigel Tripp’s troops put in a solid performance which was rewarded with a 2-0 win, after going into the break a goal up through Phil Baker, they then added a second through Jon Bazley.

Corsham’s face Almondsbury UWE on Wednesday night as they look for their first back to back victories.

Malmesbury’s 1-0 win over Bishop Sutton was courtesy of Shane Bumphrey, who has now scored four goals in his last five games for the club.

Kevin Bridgeman’s side will face Devizes Town on Tuesday, who go into the game on the back of a 7-0 loss at Keynsham Town.

Westbury United were also on the end of a high score game as they were gunned down 4-1 by Oldland Abbotonians.

Calne Town were unable to build on their victory over Radstock Town as they were beaten at home by Ashton and Blackwell United, Kris Beasley with the Lilywhites’ goal.

Calne and Westbury have to battle it out for three points when they meet at Meadow Lane on Tuesday night.

Warminster Town have now gone four games without a win after slipping to a disappointing 2-0 defeat away at Bishops Lydeard and face Chippenham Park on Wednesday. In Sydenhams League Division One, Pewsey Vale lost 4-2 at AFC Stoneham.
