CORSHAM Town aim to make an appointment by the end of the season following the announcement of Jeff Roberts' exit at the end of the current campaign.

The Southbank club have had some interest in role since it was revealed that Roberts will leave to take up the reins at Hellenic League Highworth Town in the summer, but are keen to hear from other interested parties.

Chairman Chris Perry said: "Jeff Roberts' resignation as the manager of the playing side of the club has come as both a surprise and disappointment.

"Jeff’s appointment last year was considered a long term option by the committee and we have ensured that Jeff has had everything that we had agreed to, so we were very shocked to be told he had accepted a position at Highworth Town.

"We wish Jeff the best of luck and he will always be welcome at Southbank.''

He added: "The club are now looking for his replacement and are pleased to have already had some interest in the position.

"The new manager will be in total charge of the playing side of the club, first team and reserves.

"They will be expected to continue to work at developing the young players from the local area and build a team that can push for honours in the next few years and beyond.

The club are looking to make an appointment before the end of the season. Interested parties should contact the club by emailing kenandanniebaldwin@hotmail.com by April 15.
