CORSHAM Town ended a run of four games without a win in style as they completed a 5-1 win over Devizes Town on Good Friday.

Matt Jenkins scored with two long-range efforts before Luke Bryan scored to give the hosts a comfortable three goal lead at the break.

Bryan doubled his tally the other side of the interval before Keiron Gleed completed the scoring to put Jeff Roberts side seventh, level on points with Chard Town and Oldland Abbotonians.

“We scored three in the first half and it could have been double figures really but fair play to Devizes, they didn’t give up and got their consolation goal,” said Roberts.

“I honestly thought Devizes were better than Warminster but we just took our chances against them.

“Teams at the bottom are fighting for survival and we have got to make sure we are switched on and on Friday we took our chances.

“If we can get in the top four then I think I would be happy with that given the ups and downs we have had this season.

“We dropped some silly points and before Friday we had picked up two points in 12 and we have let ourselves down there really.

“If we had picked up those points we would have been right up there but we will now be looking for a top four finish if we can.”

Devizes boss Darran Walters added: “It was a disappointing performance. I was feeling pretty low after that one. We knew it was going to be a tough game but we just didn’t play well enough.”
