HILPERTON United may not have featured in a Division One league fixture since they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Castle Combe back in November.

But cup victories over Warminster Town Reserves and Tawny Owl set them up nicely for the return clash at Whaddon Lane and the hosts kept their upturn in form going in the right direction thanks to a 3-1 win.

Two quick fire goals from Jake Samuel and Kieran Fereday who scored from the penalty spot put Hilperton 2-0 ahead.

Alan Farnish halved the deficit for Combe before Ben Smith struck in the second half to seal victory for the home team.
