A 5-2 VICTORY for Potterne FC at Aces FC saw them replace their opponents as Division One leaders.

Tom Pang fired Aces into an early lead but they were pegged back when Tom Lye scored from the penalty spot.

Lye was on target again to give Potterne a 2-1 interval lead. Steven House and Ashley Huntley added further goals before Steve Tuke grabbed a second for Aces. Tom Lye completed the scoring with his third of the game.

Near-neighbours Warminster Town Reserves and Westbury United Reserves met for a second time this season and, like the first meeting earlier this month which Warminster won 6-0, they took the points again courtesy of a 5-1 triumph.

Westbury’s player-manager Marc Lanfear gave his side a deserved lead, but it was short lived as a first of the game from Craig Sheppard saw parity restored. Sheppard then made it 2-1 and Sam Clift added a third before half time.

Carl Clarke and Matt Dyer on his return from a three-match suspension gave Warminster’s manager Mark Breffit a fourth league win of the season.

Heytesbury made the short trip to Westbury for their first meeting of the season with White Horse FC, who they pipped to the runners-up spot in Division Two last term.

A 4-2 victory for the villagers saw them end a six-match winless run.

Aaron Salter headed home on 13 minutes to put White Horse ahead. Heytesbury dragged themselves level midway through the half, Bradley Edwards playing in Sam Martin to make it 1-1.

Martin scored his second on 34 minutes after being set up by Ashley Caws and a minute later Sam Spratt produced a fine stop to keep his team in front. However a succession of corners from White Horse led to Paul Beavers heading home to level things at two each.

Heytesbury took the lead on 55 minutes, Kieron Edwards scoring after good work from Leigh Kennedy.

Two minutes later it should have been 4-2, a quickly taken free kick saw Dan Dick feed Declan Griffiths who was denied by a great stop from keeper Andy Ladd.

At the other end keeper Sam Spratt produced a series of saves to deny White Horse an equaliser and on 75 minutes his heroics were rewarded when Ashley Caws set up Kennedy to fire home and wrap up victory for Heytesbury.
