SECOND Division FC Lacock claimed the result of the WG Parr Trophy preliminary round when they beat first division FC Pig & Whistle 5-1.

Josh Hard scored a hat-trick for Lacock and Ryan Ross and Jordan Miners also netted as Naseem Abourachid pulled a goal back.

There was no upset at Biddestone, where first division Bath Road defeated second division Corsham Park 6-3, with two goals from Matt White, a Jonny Ingram treble and Tim Knight’s goal.

Jake Marshall scored twice for Corsham and Josh May also netted.

Second division Sutton Benger bowed out as two late goals at Calne BFC saw the hosts claim a 3-2 success. Dave Herring’s opener for Calne was cancelled out by Simon McCarthy and James Weston for Benger, but Aaron Clegg and Stuart Windsor turned the game on its head again.

Christian Malford moved in to the next round after a 4-3 win against Division Three Cavalier, their first win for more than a year.

Harry Fenwick scored a hat-trick and Tom Bull was also on target, as Roger Wiltshire, Adam Bewley and Jack Lenagan found the target for Cavalier as they fought back from 4-1 down.

Second division Miller Sports B edged a nine-goal thriller against third division outfit Evana Designs.

Brandan Knight, Nathan Drewm substitute Harry Waylen, Ben Cooper and Tim Knight were on target for Miller, Luke Thomson, player/manager Paul Revening, Ben Trebble and Ant Lamb scoring for Evana.

First division Rowdy Cow Rowde booked their place in the next round with a 14-0 victory at home to second division outfit The Mallard.

Matt Minnis scored five times, Kyle Davies and Chris O’Donovan netted twice and Bradley Whitbread and Joe Merritt were also among the scorers, while Harry Wilson missed two penalties.

Third division White Horse B fell at the first hurdle, beaten 3-1 on home soil by second division Old Road FC, for whom Andy Rose and Matt Poole, twice, scored. Matt Crosnier replied.

Knockout Cup

FOURTH Division newcomers Calne United and Semington FC kicked off this season’s competition, the latter progressing courtesy of a 3-1 preliminary round win.

Chris Dore and two goals from Richard Allum settled the tie, despite Matt Lang’s penalty for Calne.

Premier Division

CHAMPIONS Corsham CC Wildcats suffered a 2-0 defeat at The Castle FC, Ben Jenks and Jack Fisher deciding the encounter.

AFC Melksham were beaten 3-1 by White Horse AFC at Christie Miller, Jordan Gullis, Sean O’Brien’s penalty and Dale Rowland doing the damage before Callum Demkiv reduced arrears.

Potterne CFC, despite losing James Campbell to two yellow cards and goalkeeper Craig Campbell to a straight red, managed to claim a 2-0 win over a Goatacre CC FC, who also finished with 10 men as Simon Dance was dismissed. Neil Clark scored a goal for Potterne in each half.

Pack Horse FC (formerly Prestige Bodyworks) saw off Melksham Cosmos 6-2.

Ben Pring (penalty), Alex Pring, Craig Fisher, Adam O’Keefe, twice, and Zak Klukowski scored for the winners, Marc Bowden (penalty) and Joe Griffiths replying.

Cons FC had a 6-2 victory at Westbury Rangers, Craig Garner, Josh Mannings, an own goal from Rangers keeper Gavin Carpenter, substitute Steve Coleman, Ryan Lewis and Matt Garner the target men as Marc Lanfear and Callum Hotine responded.

Division One

FOR the first time in three meetings the Corsham Centre Youth beat Bremhill, with a 3-1 win seeing Bremhill suffer their first loss in 25 games.

Josh Bright, James Lye and 16-year-old Shaun Paradise scored for the winners, as Tom Sigee pulled one back.

Miller Sports A staged the comeback of the day. From 3-0 down away at Pheasant FC, Mike Stevens’ side claimed a 5-3 win.

A Brently Roberts double and a James Webb own goal put Pheasant three up in the opening 20 minutes but Alex Shaftoe, Ade Bridge, Paul Walker and Dave Jenkins’ double wrapped up the points for Sports.

Division Two

FC NORTH Wiltshire hosted a depleted Lavington Rangers outfit, who saw a car carrying four of their players unhurt following an accident en route to the ground.

The home side claimed the points as Scott Austin, Tom Watchman, James Black and James Bamford netted in a 4-2 win, Callum Wylie and Gabriel Gospodinov with the consolations.

Division Three

TROWBRIDGE-BASED The Dursley Arms are the new leaders following their 9-1 victory over previous table toppers FC St George, who have also suffered from a three-point deduction for playing an ineligible player in their opening game - a 14-0 success over 91-92 FC.

For a second successive week Martin Johnson scored a hat-trick. Connor McKay claimed a couple and singles for Joe Grant, Sean Brereton, Jordan De Silva and Jake Hiscocks made to the tally.

For the first time in seven seasons Warminster Wanderers got one over their local rivals Fox & Hounds FC.

In the Frome Sunday League, Jeff Glasson’s side could never get the better of their opponents but their first meeting in the Chippenham League saw them edge home 4-3 with goals from Ryan Elly (hat-trick) and Anthony Holton, Damien Holton, Justin Preece and James Wase with the replies.

Westbury Conservative Club were 5-0 winners against 91-92 FC, Steve Ball with a hat-trick, Owen Hunter and Lee Causon the scorers in the second half.
