THE 25th AFC Corsham tournament attracted 235 teams to Rudloe's Leafy Lane Playing Fields last weekend.

In the U9 age group AFC Corsham Jaguars defeated Melksham Hurricanes 2-1 in the finals.

Melksham Town were also runners up in the U15 category, beaten 4-0 in the final by Bitton, while Trowbridge Town Yellow missed out on the U11s prize, beaten 3-2 by Frome Town Youth on the golden goal.

In the U12/13 girls category, Westbury Youth Crystals were edged out by Widbrook Ladies.

WOOTTON Bassett Town Blue A U11s provided a home victory at the club’s annual six-a-side tournament - the last to be held at Ballard’s Ash, with Bassett set to move to their new Rylands Way facility next season.

The home side prevailed 2-0 on penalties against Croft Blue in the final.

Bassett were also runners up in the U14 event.
