U17 League Cup semi-final

The last of this seasons semi finals got under way with Westbury earning a place in the last two after running out 5-1 winners over Devizes Blues.

Westbury's goals were scored by Matt Mead (2), Joseph Harrison 1, Adrian Chantry 1, Sam McQueen 1.

U9 Division One

Trowbridge Town Youth started the brighter against home side and division leaders Warminster Highbury gaining the lead through George Hughes.

Unfortunately, Trowbridge lost Sam Robbins due a twisted ankle and had to reshuffle the team. Highbury attacked Trowbridge with some very good play but the defence held well. Warminster equalised with a simple tap in from Jake Andrews ending the first half level at 1-1 The second half was again evenly balanced with play ebbing and flowing from end to end. Trowbridge had several chances to go ahead as did Highbury but it was the home side who struck with thirty seconds to go with a second for Andrews. Trowbridge did not have enough time to respond.

A very closely fought game, in a stiffening breeze, resulted in a late goal from Bradford's Freddie Oliphant to seal the tie against FC Chippenham and their first win since Christmas.

U9 Division Two

In an extremely close game, Devizes started stronger than Trowbridge Wanderers with the only goal of the game through Cullen Wylie. Both keepers gave excellent performance's denying either side any advancement.

Wanderers fought hard but looking to equalize but Devizes held out for the three points and their first win.

U9 Division Three

Melksham Town Youth Robins move to the top of the table after running out 2-0 winners at home to Marshfield Lions. Two first half goals from Callum McRandle and Brandon Mills sealed the Robins victory.

U9 Division Five

Devizes Town Youth are still riding high in this division despite sharing the spoils wit Chippenham Town Youth White's in their 2-2 draw. Callum Oliphant and Matthew Stratton scored for Devizes with Dan Lakeland and Ollie Milner replying for Chippenham.

U9 Division Six

A top of the table clash saw Melksham Town Eagles retain their place at the top with a 1-0 win over FC Chippenham.

A good, even and fair match with the only goal coming in the first half from Dan Walker. Some excellent defending from the Eagles' Daniel Simonsen, Jordan Soper and Matthew Hook kept the Chippenham side at bay.

Two first half strikes from Jacob Miles was enough for Larkhall Athletic to take three points from their home game against Bradford Town Youth which ended 2-1.

U9 Division Seven

Melksham Park and AFC Corsham Leopards were evenly matched despite the final score with both looking to improve on their last encounter which ended level at 3-3.

Harry Bright put the Leopards into a 1-0 lead in the first half only for Melksham to equalise courtesy of a good follow up to a long range shot. Tom Dymond then put the Leopards back into the lead before the break.

The next goal was always going to be crucial and Tom Dymond managed to net twice midway through the second half to notch his second hat trick of the season.

Captain Patrick Cunningham then added two skilful solo goals to take the match away from Melksham, who scored a consolation goal near the end to make the final score 6-2.

U10 Blue

Trowbridge Town continued with their fine run of form with a 4-0 win over an excellent Warminster Highbury side.

Trowbridge put the Highbury goal under pressure from the start, Highbury defended well and did on a couple of occasions catch Trowbridge pushing up.

The breakthrough finally came from a corner after ten minutes when Joe Blais rose above the Highbury defence to head home at the back post. Matthew Morris hit the second from long range when the ball was part cleared from a corner to make it two nil at the break.

Highbury to their credit continued to try and take the game to Trowbridge but where caught again when Morris dribbled passed three players to slide the ball in at the near post.

Town's fourth came from Bradley Neate who curled a left foot shot into the corner after losing his marker.

Trowbridge continued to put the Highbury goal under pressure and would have had more goals had it not been for some excellent keeping and defending by Highbury.

Devizes Town Youth ran out 1-0 winners away to Trowbridge Wanderers with Luke Garland named as Wanderers man of the match.

Daniel Sibley gave home side Melksham Town Youth Saints a 1-0 lead in their very closely fought game against Larkhall Athletic. Harry Waylen made the game safe for the Saints mid way through the second half.

U10 Green

After a goalless first half home side Chippenham Town Youth White secured their 1-0 victory against Melksham Town Youth robins after Melksham failed to clear their lines from a Chippenham throw. Kane Fernandez scored for Chippenham.

Warminster Highbury move up into second place following their home win against Melksham Park. Highbury took the lead in the first half with a goal from Martin Marsh. Park equalized after the restart with an own goal before Highbury tied things up with their second from Charlie Walton.

U10 Red

White Horse Juniors Flames played their last game of the season at home against Trowbridge Town Youth.

The game could have gone either way but a last minute penalty from Jordan secured the Flames all three point and their second win of the season. White Horse keeper Greg gave an excellent performance.

U10 Yellow

Larkhall took the lead against Biddestone after a lovely ball played through for Ben Tiley to finish. Biddestone soon drew level from a lovely placed shot from Joe Harvey.

Second Half saw Larkhall gain the advantage again with a well taken shot from Tiley to beat the Biddestone Keeper.

Biddestone's hard work paid off in the final minute of the game which saw Harvey weave his way through to score a well taken goal to bring the game level.

Congratulations to Bradford Town Youth on winning the Yellow Division in a good spirited match at home to Trowbridge Town Youth. The visitors started brightly, but Bradford came close to scoring after just two minutes with a well hit shot from Ollie Clayton-Smith.

The first goal came after a penetrating run on the left from Gus Wright, who found Tom Francis unmarked in the centre to put Bradford 1-0 up. Wright then scored Bradford's second after another good run followed by a low shot into the corner of the net.

The second half got underway with Bradford extending their lead to 3-0 with another goal for Wright, who then turned provider for Ben Parlour to score Bradford's fourth. The favour was then returned with Parlour setting up Wright for his hat-track and making the final score 5-0 to Bradford.

U11 Division One

Team Bath Arsenal got off the mark this week with a home win against AFC Corsham. A close game saw Team Bath turn a 2-1 half time lead into a 3-2 final score.

Lewis Wood, Danny Dempsey-Parr and Preston Marks scored for Team Bath.

Man of the match Jamar Young scored a second half hat trick giving home side White Horse Juniors Jets a 3-0 victory against Trowbridge Wanderers for their third successive win and third successive clean sheet.

U11 Division Two

Chippenham Town Youth White remain unbeaten following their 2-1 home win against Larkhall Athletic. Ben Pring and Ryan Peck scored for Chippenham.

U11 Division Three

Derry Hill struck first against Westbury Youth within five minutes from a very good through ball.

Against the run of play Westbury found themselves 2-0 down soon after a rebound of the Westbury keeper fell kindly to the Derry Hill striker. Westbury scored soon after the break through Drew Adams.

Westbury had a great deal of possession but did not take their chances.

Derry Hill scored their third with a good counter attack before Charlie Burgess scored for Westbury to set up an exciting last ten minutes but Derry Hill hung on to win 3-2. Man of the match for Westbury was Dylan Tuck.

U11 Division Four

Goals from Liam Wootten, Callum Bell and Sam Hall gave Combe a 3-2 win against Marshfield.

Bradford Town move up into second place following their convincing 8-1 home win against Larkhall Athletic.

First half goals from Alex Carter (3), Sam Francis (2) and Ben Fielding gave Bradford a clear 6-0 lead. Bradford sealed their victory with two second half goals from Francis, taking his tally to five.

U11 Division Five

Bromham U11's suffered a home defeat at the hands of unbeaten Trowbridge Town Rhinos in a closely fought encounter.

The first half was very entertaining with both teams having chances to break the deadlock with Trowbridge having a goal disallowed after the halftime whistle and Jack Houkes clearing a goal bound shot off the line for the Rhinos.

Bromham almost took the lead when a goal bound shot hit the upright and went across the face of the goal and fell to a Bromham striker who failed to hit the target from close range sending the ball into the safe hands of George Hartrey.

However despite Bromham looking the most likely to score with some good possession it was Trowbridge who took the lead with a well taken goal when Callam McCaldon made a strong run down the middle of the pitch set up Jordan McNeil for the Rhinos opener.

Bromham continued to give the Trowbridge defence problems and with ten minutes to play were going all out for an equaliser. McCaldon then set up Thomas Buckle who fired the ball home extending the Rhinos lead.

The Rhinos third came from Fraser Nye whose clearance from his own box went high into the sky and landed in the Bromham net. Rhinos man of the match was Callam McCaldon for setting up two goals and great team play.

Melksham Town Youth Reds and Westbury Youth both gave outstanding team performances in their very close game.

Both sides had there chances but great goalkeeping saved the day. Westbury scored the first goal before Melksham equalised to make it one each at half time. Both sides cancelled each other out throughout the second half resulting in a 3-3 final score.

Luke Thomson, Sean Overton and Ben Howell scored for Melksham with Paul Eddington (2) and Jordan Bishop replying for Westbury.

U12 Blue

Although Bradford had many chance in the first half against Castle Combe Colts Black they could only manage to score twice with both goals coming from Cameron Dewar.

Castle Combe fought back leveling the score at 2-2 at half time. The second half was as entertaining as the first with chances from both sides missed resulting in a share of the points. Man of the match for Bradford was Duncan Burnside who never stopped running throughout the game.

The championship race is over for Trowbridge Town Youth and Amesbury Juniors following their game which ended 1-0 to Trowbridge and leaving Melksham Town Youth this seasons champions with a game in hand.

Zak Henderson scored the winner for Trowbridge in the first half of a very closely fought game. Well done to Trowbridge who finish runners up.

U12 Red

Bromham took the lead through James House in their home game against Marshfield Juniors. Kealan Finnegan brought the scores level before Jack Ashton gave the visitors the lead.

Ollie Wittcomb made it 3-1 after the restart but a second for House made for a very close run in. A second for Ashton secured Marshfield three points with a 4-2 final score.

Melksham Town Youth ran out 4-2 winners at home to Warminster Juniors with goals from Jack Woolsgrove (2) and Bradley Butcher (2).

U12 Yellow

Congratulations and well done to all the teams in the division for being the first to finish all their games after one of the wettest seasons the league has known.

The final game was played out between home side Malmesbury Youth and Dilton Rovers with Malmesbury dominating the first half and going in for the break with a 5-0 advantage.

The second half was more balanced with Malmesbury adding one to their tally to finish 6-0 winners. Ryan Driscol (3), Alex Poulitou and Jake James (2) scored for Malmesbury. Malmesbury finish third in the table behind second place Pewsey and division Champions Westbury Youth.

U13 Blue

In another tough derby game Trowbridge Towns' team play saw them through to a 6-4 over Trowbridge Wanderers.

With two goals from Alex De Silva in the first half, after Wanderers had held a two goal advantage for much of the half, Town found themselves lucky to be drawing at the break.

However the Town players upped the pace in the second half and took a 5-3 lead, with De Silva netting a further three.

Wanderers fought back well and snatched one back with ten minutes to go, before Corey Smitherman made it safe for Town in the last five minutes with a tap in from an Aaron Patrick shot. Wanderers saw goals from Liam Smart (3) and Sam Hibbard.

Devizes Town Youth took a narrow 1-0 lead after a close first half against Corsham FC. Both sides made more of their chances in the second half with Devizes coming out on top with a final score of 5-3. George Dunford (2), Rory Collins, Matthew Lever and Kieran Hall scored for Devizes.

U13 Green

In a bottom of the table clash between Trowbridge Wanderers and White Horse Juniors Both team's tale credit for playing the game the way in should be played, in a fair honest manner.

Trowbridge took the lead late in the first half and quickly followed that up with a give away goal from White Horse. The second half got off to a good start for Trowbridge who scored again and unlike in some matches White Horse did not let there heads drop and scored two quick goals, bringing the score back to 3-2.

Trowbridge fought back scoring again to reclaim their two goal advantage but this was short lived as White Horse found the back of the net for 4-3.

With only ten minutes left you would have thought it was all over but the end to end action saw Trowbridge increase their lead again only to see White Horse score twice in the last five minutes thus ending the match with an equally well deserved 5-5 result.

A great but nerve racking game. White Horse saw goals from Max Bush (2),Curtis Rees, Sam Peacock and Ben Wickens with Nathan Osbaldestone (2), Rob Orchard, James Orchard and Yassin El-Filali replying for Wanderers.

U14 Blue

In a reversed fixture home side AFC Calne made the most of their chances in the first half taking a 5-1 lead at the break against Amesbury Juniors.

Amesbury defended well in the second half and increased their tally but the first half damage could not be undone seeing Calne finish 5-3 winners. Calne saw goals from Josh Eades, Mike Hill, Mike Coulson, Chris Newth and an own goal.

Trowbridge Wanderers move up into second in the table following their 4-2 home win against Warminster Highbury. Adam Mercer (2), Martin Johnson and Otis Young scored for Wanderers.

U14 Green

The mid-table clash between home side Melksham Town and Trowbridge Town provided a very entertaining spectacle and plenty of goals with a final score of 5-5.

Jon Cox (2), Ben Macey, George Harding and Dan Cain scored for Melksham.

Chippenham Town Youth earned their third win of the season so far after running out 6-1 winners at home in their local derby against Chippenham Town Rangers. Adam Scarf scored for the Rangers.

U14 Red

Home side FC Chippenham 2nds and Westbury Youth 2nds entertained their supporters with an evenly balanced game ending all square at 3-3.

Callum Coupland, Scott Marshall and Josh Springett (penalty) scored for Chippenham.

In a top of the table clash leaders Larkhall Athletic played host to second place Melksham Park 2nds.

After a close first half Melksham went into the break with a narrow 1-0 lead through Lewis Heathcote. Larkhall fought their way back into the game scoring twice but a second half hat trick from Heathcote secured Park the victory and their place at the top of the table with a one point advantage.

UNDER 15 BLUE FC Chippenham remain eight points clear at the top of the table following their 6-0 away win against Avebury. Taylor (2), Sibbick (2), Tinson and Harrison scored for Chippenham.

A brave Castle Combe Colts ran out with just ten men in their away game against South Newton and Wishford. Combe played well but the one man advantage proved too much seeing South Newton eventual 5-1 winners. Jake Madden (3), Micky Tutton and Sam Nash scored for South Newton.

U15 Green

Rob Felstead gave home side Chippenham Town Youth the lead in their home game against Trowbridge Wanderers.

The game could have gone either way in the first half which saw Wanderers fight back to level the scores at the interval. Chippenham created and converted more chances in the second half netting twice through Ryan Kubilius with no reply to finish 3-1 winners.

In their bottom of the table clash AFC Calne took the lead on eight minutes through Aaron Hopkins in their game against Devizes Town Youth. Devizes equalized soon after the restart but four more from Sam Paget (3) and Alex Lewis secured Calne a 5-1 victory.

Division leaders Melksham Park were held back in the first half by home side Warminster United but two second half strikes from Ben Forester and Michael Coll gave Park a 2-0 win.

U15 Red

Second place AFC Corsham suffered a blow to their championship hopes after their away game against Amesbury Juniors.

Sam Vasey put Corsham 1-0 up at the break but a great team effort and second half strikes from Sam Mitchell and Aaron Robson secured Amesbury a 2-1 victory.

Westbury Youth took a 3-0 lead at the break against home side Castle Combe Colts White before going on to finish 5-1 winners. Mark Hiscocks (3), Jonathan Tribbick and Callum Russell scored for Westbury.

Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds got back to their winning ways after last weeks cup disappointment running out 5-0 winners at home to Bradford Town Youth. George Devitt gave Trowbridge the followed by goals from James Griffiths (2) and Natty Mills for a 4-0 half time score. Just after the break Griffiths scored to complete his hat trick and Trowbridge's place at the top of the table.

U16 Blue

Chippenham Town Youth ran out 3-1 winners away to Salisbury City with Carl Skingley scoring for Salisbury.

U16 Red

Salisbury United notched up six points this week moving them four points clear at the top of the table.

In a mid week fixture Amesbury Juniors provided a flood lit pitch for their game against Salisbury which attracted more than the average crowd.

The first half was very close with neither side making any advance. After the break Salisbury continued to defend well whilst Jamie Gray and Mat Gurd (penalty) secured them the victory at 2-0.

Salisbury dominated their home game against Bradford on Sunday taking a 3-0 lead at the break before going on to finish 6-0 winners.

Salisbury saw first half goals from Ricky Duncan (2) and Simon Harkness followed by second half goals from Clint Kelly, Matt Gurd and a third from Duncan for his hat trick.

Amesbury bounced back after their mid week defeat to run out 3-1 winners away to FC Chippenham. Ricky Treweke scored for Chippenham.

Melksham Town Youth ran out convincing 15-1 winners at home to White Horse Juniors with goals from Ethan Cox (2), keeper Robert Escott (penalty), Dan Humphreys (2), Sam Mallone, Adam Potter (4), Nathan Trott, Oliver Woodland and Lee Fielding (3).

AFC Corsham ran out 6-1 winners away to Mere FC with Josh Stainer scoring for Mere.

Eddie Perrett gave home side South Newton and Wishford a 2-0 lead before visitors Castle Combe Colts brought the scores level through Tommy O'Cain and Jacob Sell.

Midway through the second half the game was settled with a second for O'Cain giving Combe the 3-2 win.
