Corsham Print Senior Cup
Westside, looking to reach the semi-finals, were dealt cruel blow when two goals in the last five minutes gave Premier Division leaders Corsham Town a 4-3 victory over the Swindon side.
Earlier, Westside had the home outfit on the ropes as they took a two-goal interval lead with strikes from Dave Rendell and Ricky Hewittson, and could well have doubled that tally had they taken all their chances.
Corsham came out after the break all guns blazing and were soon back on level terms with goals from Jason Walsh and George Bennett.
Not to be denied, Westside sprung into action again and regained the lead with another good strike from Rendell which looked to be the winner until five minutes from time when Peter Tye levelled the scores again. Worse was to come as a last-minute corner by Liam Ralph found its way into the back of the Westside net to put the home side into the semis.
Westside boss Joe O'Rourke said he was absolutely gutted' and added: "All the lads played out of their skin, they gave everything and it was cruel luck to go out to two late goals.
"On a personal note it was very disappointing, I was hoping to end my last season on a high, but that's football I suppose, I couldn't fault the lads they gave 110 per cent.
"It seems when you're on top things seem to go for you and that certainly applied to Corsham today."
