TOMMY Dryden has urged the Hellenic League to extend the season into May as the weather continues to cause fixture havoc.
The Malmesbury Vics boss has taken his side to fifth in the Hellenic League Division one and in with a shout of promotion but, with games in hand, Dryden admits it could start to become a problem.
Ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Cheltenham Saracens, he said: "It would be a good idea to extend the season.
"Every side is having a problem with the games being called off and the problem with that is the league starts to become false.
"After all the hard work you have put in during the season, it starts to be affected by what players you have available.
"We could have to play two or three times a week and that starts to get silly."
Dryden has a full squad to pick from tomorrow and he insists he is not concentrating on any other team.
He said: "I don't really know how our rivals have been getting on in recent weeks. I don't keep an eye on it because it is down to us.
"Players do tell me now and again but to be honest it is all down to our own results. Maybe as the season goes on I will take more of an interest but the priority is still winning our own games and seeing where it gets us."
Elsewhere Wootton Bassett entertain Pewsey and Cricklade travel to Old Woodstock.
